Seriously, when?
May 2010? June? July? August?
Give me your thoughts--any prior plans/preferences?
And where do you reckon we should go? Big Sur? Olympic National Park? Joshua Tree? That place in Utah with the famous arch? You tell me folks.

I don't really have any idea what I'll be doing as of Spring/Summer 2010, but my gut says that either July or August would be best.
ReplyDeleteAnd I want to vote for Joshua Tree, but will it be deathly hot at that time of year? I would also vote for Big Sur.
I think more important than geographic location is that we find a great, inexpensive cabin, yurt, campground, or whatever that will create the best environment.
I'm in favor of roughing it. Backpacking, hiking, making fires. Rubber rose-ing it, if you will ;)
For me, it would have to be mid August or May-June (I will probably be taking summer school classes in July/early August & then starting the fall semester late August.)
ReplyDeleteInexpensive yurt/cabin would be nice, since then we could minimize packing (no tents!) It would be nice to be near a large body of water where we could swim or at least wade.
I think Joshua Tree might be pretty hot mid summer. Coastal regions have my vote.
I vote mid August 2010. Like Monday 9th- Sunday the 15th? If we book a campground now we can pick the best available one and avoid steep summer prices. I deeply into the yurts, but open for suggestions. I could nominate myself to solidify a headcount and get on reservations if ya'll wanna vote on a spot?
